What was the last qualification you gained?
Think of all blood, sweat, and tears that went into getting it, when you had to put aside time every day or week to get the work done, when you would have liked to be doing anything even changing the bed, most hated household job in the world, then sitting down to revise or research for your course.
All of this pales into insignificance when you are sent your certificate, or even better are presented with your certificate.
On the certificate, it states the qualification and level, but to you it says,” well done for all the hard work, working to deadlines, doing your normal job on top of this qualification, everyone is well pleased for you”
Now think of those dark days, when everything was a bit too much, that you thought you would never understand the concept being taught. Forgotten now right?
Your first memory now is the elation, it's a rose-tinted glasses moment
We see the feeling of being overwhelmed every week with one or other of our learners, maybe it's time to revisit your experience and pass it on, to give a bit of courage or a leg up to a learner in times of doubt
Give it a go, let me know how you have used your experience to motivate your learners.
